    State University of New York at Buffalo

  • History

  • Established in the 1970s by a dedicated group of local manufacturing engineers from the Buffalo/Niagara Chapter 10 of the Society of Manufacturing Engineers, which set aside a fund for scholarships and administered both the account and award process for several years.
  • In the mid 1980s, a separate organization was established to provide a more efficient way to achieve the original goal of fostering excellence in manufacturing.
  • Chapter 10 made a significant donation to fund WNYMEET and continues to support the organization with the guidance of it's executive Committee.
