AME Lean Training Classes and Seminars

This Lean Certification event registration is a two
step process - one registration for the Review Class and a separate
process to register to take the Exam. The Review Class will explore what
the certification is about, what the exam will encompass, and additional
necessary steps to complete the Certification. Individuals on a Lean
Journey are encouraged to attend. They will have the opportunity to
share their approach to deploying Lean concepts with 10 to 25 other Lean
practitioners/professionals on a similar Lean Journey. The
collaborative, group format allows Lean practitioners to share ideas and
solidify their knowledge about foundational Lean concepts. This is an
excellent opportunity to enhance your career even if you decide not to sit for
the exam.
Some participants wait to take the exam at a later
date.
Although individuals can take the exam at a later date, some of the people who have had a couple of years experience deploying Lean concepts who attend the Review Class take the Exam at the end of the event. After registering for the Review Class, if you are interested in taking the Exam, go back to the same web page link above and in the middle of this same page “To apply and take the exam is separate from the Review Class, please register for the Exam on the SME website”
On the SME website there is more information about the Lean Certification Program. The below are the 4 books that are recommended for this Lean Certification Review Class.
