Reverse Engineering at Sammer Technologies |
| |
|
| |
Sammer Technologies is a Markham based services provider of 3D digitizing, reverse engineering and
dimensional inspection services to the aerospace, automotive and general manufacturing industry. It is a
complete solution provider of high accuracy reverse engineering/inspection services. Using the industry
proven and leading GOM ATOS Non-Contact Digitizing system and TriTop handheld digital
photogrammetry, they can quickly digitize your parts and give you a STL point cloud file that you can
model yourself. They can also provide the modeling service using industry leading Innovmetric Polyworks
software. The scan volume of the ATOS system is totally flexible because of the use of a photogrammetry
system (TriTop). For inspection applications, they offer dense data or discrete point inspections delivered
in CMM type reports.

Sammer Technologies can accurately digitize objects from the size of a dime to the size of a Boeing 747
jumbo jet! The GOM ATOS white light non-contact scanner has a flexible scan volume. Currently, the GOM
ATOS system is considered to be the "industry standard" and has more users than all of the other white
light scanners manufacturer combined together.
Over the past three years Sammer Technologies has been involved in a wide variety of projects including
reverse engineering moulds for a pill to a Bell 204 helicopter. Our “3D Scanning and Reverse Engineering
Education Night” will show how the data is picked up, expected accuracies and follow through to show
how the data is processed into a useful CAD model or used to compare to an existing CAD model. |
