Abstract
This workshop will contain a series of demonstrations of TOC theory followed by a review
of the obstacles for implementation. During the implementation review, facts, figures
and examples from real turnaround situations will be used to demonstrate why only 3%
of people who read Lean or TOC material are able to implement it in their business
environment.
The Turnaround case studies include companies ranging from one day lead time batch
manufacturing through to multi-million dollar 6 month lead time project manufacturers.
Each case study is designed to demonstrate the underlying force working against
performance improvement and leads the audience to find a simple mechanism to
realign this same force to drive performance.
Each case study will not stop at operational improvements alone but will continue to
show how operational improvements can be used as the basis for market growth by
constructing an Unrefusable Market Offer. Each market offer is unique for a certain
industry based on the significant need of that industry.
