Leading Manufacturing Innovation Through People

Lean Bronze Certification Review

“This NEW, unique and first globally accepted Lean Certification will help to bring alignment to lean practices within companies and organizations, throughout supply chains and across industries, to encourage the development of the next generation of Lean Professionals.”

Alignment Finally!

Manufacturing professionals had a simple idea: “We need Lean. Though many outstanding Lean training programs and practitioners filled the marketplace with knowledge, the industry lacked a true consistent standard to align them. The programs functioned independently, leaving organizations with a difficult task of determining whether the knowledge and skills fit their Lean practices. The leaders in manufacturing excellence listened to the needs of the industry and called for a monumental collaboration among three professional organizations – the Society of Manufacturing Engineers SME, the Association for Manufacturing Excellence AME, and the Shingo Prize for Excellence in Manufacturing. This unique alliance allowed the leading Lean practitioners in the industry to participate in the development of the highly desired Lean standard. These leaders worked together to create a rigorous Lean Certification program that Lean-oriented companies and individuals will recognize as comprehensive, timely, and effective.
