This month we had an opportunity to tour Custom Rubber Products. CRP has been manufacturing oilfield elastomer, rubber molded/bonded products, phenolics, and thermoset plastic products for the oilfield and industrial markets since 1961. Custom Rubber Products provides custom product solutions by designing molds and oilfield tools using CAD technology. CRP designs incorporate various methods of molding: compression molding, transfer molding, and injection molding. In addition to a broad range of elastomer compounds, they mold a wide range of phenolics materials and have developed a number of proprietary processes for bonding metals and plastics to elastomers.
