Like most people these days, you're very busy - whether you're working or volunteering. But - how about taking some time out to get together to talk about The Future of Manufacturing Engineering in America? We've all benefited from the opportunities this country has given us to succeed in our careers as engineers and scientists, and now many of us are active helping young future engineers planning their careers and judging and rewarding their projects on how to make America better. It's what I call "payback time." Many of us have been active with "Future Cities," Engineering Week, Science and Engineering Fairs, and on the Technology Advisory Boards that help our High Schools and Colleges. What are your ideas about these activities? As your new chapter treasurer I'd like to invite you to a casual, light supper on the first Sunday in October at Maggiano's Restaurant in Tyson's Corner to talk about this. Sunday is a day when traffic should be light and Tyson's is centrally located and affords easy parking. How about getting together at 6 o'clock to exchange ideas. Come and bring your spouse, whose ideas have helped you and will surely help our young future engineers. We'll keep the tab light $ 10 per person. REGISTRATION:
Sincerely,
John Baer |
