NATIONAL LABORATORY PROGRAMS
NASA - Free Tech Software.
Free downloads of NASA software for commercial applications and development. Offers software applications ranging from aerodynamic analysis to viscosity measurement. Software download requires registration with NASA. New software is frequently added.
NASA - Information Services.
Free access to NASA Technical Support Packages which provide in-depth information on the innovations described in the NASA Tech Briefs; a source of current information on NASA projects and opportunities in the areas of technology transfer / commercialization, aerospace technology development and the commercial development of space; and more.
NIST - Measurement and Standards Laboratories
This NIST laboratory program serves as an impartial source of expertise, developing highly leveraged measurement capabilities and other infrastructural technologies to benefit industry.
NIST Quality Program
The Malcom Baldrige National Quality Award
NIST Manufacturing Extension Partnership Program
MEP is a nationwide network of not-for-profit Centers in over 400 locations nationwide, whose sole purpose
is to provide small and medium-sized manufacturers with the help they need to succeed.
NIST Advanced Technology Program
Through partnerships with the private sector, ATP's early stage investment program accelerates the
development of innovative technologies that promise significant commercial payoffs and widespread
benefits for the nation.
NIST Manufacturing Engineering Laboratory (MEL)
Provides technical support for industry groups that develop standards for measurements, measurement techniques, hardware, software, and data interfaces.
NIST Chemical Science & Technology Laboratory (CSTL)
CSTL has technical capabilities in analytical chemistry, surface chemistry and microanalysis, physical chemistry, process measurements and modeling, and biotechnology. The primary customers served are industry (chemical, petrochemical, electronics, automotive, power, air conditioning and refrigeration, instrumentation, biotechnology, environmental technologies, and health care); federal, state, and local government agencies; standards and industrial trade organizations; and the academic and scientific community.
NIST Electronic & Electrical Engineering Laboratory (EEEL)
Focuses on measurement capability needed by the electronics industry, the electrical-equpment industry,
and the electric-power industry. This measurement capability also serves government, educational institutions,
and the public broadly, either as users of that measurement capability or as customers for the products and
services of the supported industries.
NIST Materials Science & Engineering Laboratory (MSEL)
Works with industry, standards bodies, universities, and other government laboratories, to improve the nation's measurements and standards infrastructure for materials.
NIST Physics Laboratory (PL)
Supports United States industry by providing measurement services and research for electronic, optical,
and radiation technologies.
