Conclusion
The bridge, which held 142.8 pounds, constructed by my group proves that toothpicks really can be much stronger than they seem. When arranged in the right way, they can hold hundreds of times their own weight. The sierpinski triangle idea seems to have been a very good on but on thing we have realized (by where the bridge broke) is that the corners need to be highly reenforced to be able to take large amounts of weight.
