Storchan honored with James M. Beavers Lifetime Achievement
Award
At the OaklandMacomb Chapter 69 Installation Awards Dinner November 23, 2004, Joel Storchan ,SME Chapter 69 OaklandMacomb, was presented the James M. Beavers Lifetime Achievement Award. Among his many contributions to SME, Joel is the only three time chairman in the 60 year history of Chapter 69. (1989, 1995 and 1996) Ed Marcum accepted the award from Jim Beavers in Joels absence.

The James
M. Beavers Lifetime Achievement
Award
is presented to members that have
demonstrated long term commitment to SME
and have made many significant contributions. Areas of contributions include
but are not limited to Education, Positions held and Encouragement of others.
With the
restructuring from Region management to the Member Engagement Initiative (MEI),
Ann Arbor Area SME Chapter 079 accepted the challenge to continue the tradition
of recognizing outstanding performance and commitment of SME members, within
the boundaries of Region 6, by soliciting and implementing the Lifetime Achievement Award to deserving SME members.
