Tim Czapinski honored with Louis M. Papp Outstanding Student Award

 

 

At the OaklandMacomb Chapter 69 Installation – Awards Dinner , November 23, 2004, Tim Czapinski, CMfgT, SME Student Chapter 224 Oakland University and SME Chapter 69 OaklandMacomb was presented the Louis M. Papp Outstanding Student Award. (John Dinovski accepted the award from Dr. Rao Potru  in Tim’s absence.)

 

The Louis M. Papp Outstanding Student Award  is presented to deserving students recognizing outstanding performance and commitment to SME from among student members, within the boundaries of Region 6, (all of Michigan and Windsor, Ontario).

 

With the restructuring from Region management to the Member Engagement Initiative (MEI), CASA/RI/MVA SME Chapter 235 accepted the challenge to administer the award. Committee members are James M. Beavers, LSME, CMfgE Honors and Awards Chair, Dr. Harry Buhalis and Dr. Rao Potru.

 

The Louis M. Papp Outstanding Student Award  is judged on the basis of :

 

a.         Academic Performance

b.         Leadership

c.         Encouragement of other students

d.          SME activities

e.         Special Awards received

 

The "Louis M. Papp Outstanding Student Award"  was created in 1993 by his SME peers honoring Louie for his dedication and service to SME. Since that time, the following SME student members have been recognized with the award.
