Air Industries (http://airindmc.com) produces the most challenging structural machined configurations for its demanding customers.
The company is engaged in the “Air Industries Development Program” aimed at continuous improvement and expanding its role as an Integrator. The company provides value-added assembly structures and mechanisms as an extension of its machining competency. This program includes building on existing program management, assembly, manufacturing, and engineering strengths. Some of the current initiatives are:
---- Continued investment in basic machining equipment and software, e.g.:
· 5 Axis, Close Tolerance Horizontal Pallet Changer
· CATIA, PC-DMIS, NCL, IPV, VARIMETRIX, and CAD/CAM/CAI
---- New company wide business system Proximo Manufacturing™ including MRP
---- Development of a 26,000 square foot Integration Center.
---- Participation in formal continuous improvement, QCPC and LEAN Manufacturing.
---- Development of subcontractor base and supply chain management techniques.
---- Establishment of the position of Director of Integration.
