SME Certifications:

One of the greatest assets of SME is the ability to certify its members as professional experts with in the area of manufacturing. There are four certification exams that individuals can earn recognitions:

CMfgT: Certified Manufacturing Technologist

CmfgE: Certified Manufacturing Engineer

CEI: Certified Enterprise Integrator

CEM: Certified Engineering Manager

Chapter 107 would like to encourage the members to take the exams of his or her choice. Although you can study and take the exam on your own, the chapter would like to help. We will host an exam complete with study sessions if the is great enough interest. To do this we would like to know which exam the members would like to take.

Employers will probably assist members with the costs of exam fees and books, so ask your boss. These certifications look impressive after your name on business cards and on resumes. Potential employers really notice these certifications because it means you have more to offer and your willing to take the extra initiative.
