Wednesday, April 11, 2001
Upon determination that a quorum was present, the meeting was called to order
at 7:00 pm.
Chairman Krafft explained that this unexpected meeting was called to consider the resignation of Javier Sanchez as Treasurer and such other business that may come before the meeting.
Secretary Nichols said he had not typed the minutes of our last meeting since he had not expected this meeting to be called.
In the absence of the Treasurer no financial report was given.
Krafft circulated copies of Sanchez's resignation. After discussion, a motion was made, seconded and passed to accept Sanchez's resignation.
Krafft reported he had discussed the situation with Ziggy Stampfl and he agreed to accept the position of Treasurer. After discussion, a motion was made, seconded and passed to elect Stampfl as our Treasurer.
After discussion, a motion was made, seconded and passed to authorize Ziggy Stampfl and Paul Chang to sign individually on our checking account.
Krafft discussed the progress on our Chapter website since the last meeting. A discussion followed.
Since no further business came before the Committee, the meeting was adjourned at 8:10 PM.
Respectively submitted

Subject: Treasurer
Dear Board Members,
After a careful review of my time availability and other commitments I have
with my business, I found impossible at this time to serve as a Treasurer of
the SME Chapter 150.
In regards to the web site quote, I feel it is very vague and too expensive
for an inactive chapter. It will take just in the first phase almost 1/3 of
the budget. So my vote is no to such web site before I resign. The chapter need
a push with a newsletter, simple web site, dinner meetings, plant tours, etc.
We need to let know the local members we have reborn.
So as of today, I can not longer take the responsibility as a Treasurer.
As a member I propose the following:
INTESCO, my company, propose to set up a simple 3-page web site with its own domain name. $600. Renewable yearly $30. We will be your web master for all the changes you need to make monthly for a charge $120. The last two are independent from the first.
INTESCO propose to design, write, fold, label and mail your professional monthly 4-page newsletter for up to 200 members for $500 per month.
INTESCO could set up your dinner meetings and presentations, as well as plant
tours for a fee.
Please review the proposed items and if you want to move forward, I could formally
write a proposal.
I hope you understand my situation and I hope to serve you professionally with
my services.
If you have any questions, please e-mail me or call me at 954-704-2629.
