Meeting was called to order at 6:30 pm.

John Combs gave Treasurer's Report. John said he would prepare the Chapter Financial Report for 2000 and send it to International. He will also get the proper forms and file the completed return with IRS. He will have, all this done within two weeks and then turn the files and checkbook over to Krafft for audit

Three bills from Ed Krafft were submitted, approved and paid by John.

Reviewed the status of Chapter reports due International. Combs will submit the Financial Report and Krafft will subimit the Officer Listing, both within two weeks.

We discussed the Officer situation. The resignations of Sieghart Stampfl, John Combs and Luis Bello were presented and accepted.

Krafft placed in nomination the names of candidates for three vacant and one new Officer positions for the Chapter. The nominations were accepted and all four candidates were unanimously voted into office as follows:

New position on the Board:
Vice Chairman - - Paul Chang

Krafft presented outgoing Treasurer John Combs with the President's Award for 2000 in recognition of faithful and dedicated service to the Chapter and for forty?one years of service in SME.

There being no further business to come before the meeting, the meeting was adjourned at 7:55 pm.

Chairman Elect - Tony Mazziliano

Tony has been a member of Chapter 150 since October 1981. He has his own successful business representing a major CNC software provider. Tony gives credit for his success to his participation in Chapter 150. (Attached Survey response is Tony's motivation.)

Secretary - Ed Nichols

Ed is a new member in our Chapter having just signed up. Ed moved to this area to join an established machinery dealer who was recently appointed as representative for the Unites States of a $250,000 five-plus axis CNC machining center. Ed sees SME as being a significant help in his career development. He also wants to meet others that can help him grow.

Treasurer - Javier Sanchez

Javier has been a member of SME since February 1984 and was active in his Home Chapter before he moved to Florida. Since coming here, he has been active in IIE Chapter in South Florida, currently serving as their Chapter President. Javier feels strongly that both Chapters can benefit from a close relationship. He wants to serve on the Board to assist in developing our website as well as coordinating the ties between our two associations. IIE currently holds six dinner meetings a year and sponsors six "plant" tours. Not all of their tours are strictly manufacturing but they go to many places would be of great personal interest to our members.

To fill a new position to strengthen our dual thrust Chapter ( Meetings and Internet):

Vice Chairman - Paul Chang

Paul has been a member of Chapter 150 since December 1999. Paul is a Manufacturing Engineer at Magnivision, Inc., manufacturer of reading glasses sold from display stands in drug, discount and other similar stores. Paul wants to participate in meetings as well as having the advantages of a proactive website oriented toward our profession.
