Certified Manufacturing Technologist (CMfgT) home study course:
Twenty-two units are divided into two volumes of study. Topics covered in these units are mathematics, physics, basics of Engineering Drawings, how to calculate and show tolerances, the use of Control Charts and other quality assurance techniques, engineering materials, human factors and safety, and more. Also included in this course are key Manufacturing Management skills, such as engineering economics, manufacturing Processes, and how to manage Manufacturing Operations with MRP and MRPII.
Certified Manufacturing Engineer (CMfgE) home study course:
Two, 12-unit volumes, on topics such as, material removal processes (turning, drilling, milling), cost estimating, line balancing, molding and casting processes, inventory management and scheduling, statistical process control and engineering economics.
