The Alley Kat Brewing Company is locally owned and operated by Niel and Lavonne Herbst, both of Edmonton. The brewery produces world class micro-brewed beers produced to exacting standards. Alley Kat has become well known for its six flagship beers Aprikat, Charlie Flint's Original Lager, Fool Moon pale ale, Alley Kat Amber and Olde Deuteronomy barley wine. In addition to this regular line-up, Alley Kat also produces several seasonal beers.
The tour will be given by Niel Herbst who is an owner and brewmeister at Alley Kat. You will be given an introduction to the brewing process and learn about the ingredients that go into the beer. next, you will proceed through the plant where you will get to see the malt room, brew house, fermentation room, conditioning room and the packaging line. As part of the tour we will also have the opportunity to sample some of the beers.
IMPORTANT: Tour space is limited to 50 people. Registrations will be accepted on a first-come first-served basis. Please register early to ensure your spot. The deadline for RSVPs is the end of the day, Wednesday February 02, 2005.
