Yes...You CAM!
Please join us in May for a presentation by Brian Vandenberg of Caledonian CADCAM Inc. and learn what is required to transform a 2D/3D drawing into a CNC program? Experience first hand the power of the CAD/CAM partnership as Brian performs a live demonstration showing how you can transform an AutoCAD and SolidWorks drawing into a CAM file using Mastercam. This process can also be performed with many other 2D or 3D software design packages such as Pro/Engineer.
Brian will also explain the concept behind tool path generation with the assistance of a simulator and will also touch on design considerations that can improve manufacturability.
The presentation is intended to help designers understand what is involved when transforming CAD drawings into CNC programs, ultimately promoting more error-free and efficient file conversion. Based in Edmonton and Calgary, Caledonian CADCAM Inc. has been providing CNC sales and service for over 10 years. They offer seamless integration of new CAD/CAM and DNC (Direct Numerical Control) software, certified CAD/CAM and DNC software training, and responsive technical support and assistance. They also specialize in the implementation of tools for CNC Programming and NC code Optimization, shop floor DNC Communications, reverse engineering and inspection software.
Brains Background is in Computer Science. He became involved in Mastercam while running his own small business where he used Mastercam to cut wood moulds for creating ceramic castings. Brian was asked to move out to Edmonton about 3 years ago to become part of the Caledonian CADCAM Inc. team.
