The Marines Toys for Tots program has a long history hailing back to beginnings in 1947. In recent years, there have been approximately 150 local Marines and Reserves who do the work for Toys for Tots in Atlanta. They typically give about 900,000 toys to 450,000 local children. All toys are donated primarily at toy drives or from companies and individuals.

SMEers are known to care, so please mark your calendar for December 10th at 5:30pm to make this important contribution of your time. Also, plan to join us for dinner afterwords – SME is treating!

We would appreciate any members volunteering to allow our SME chapter to tour their plant. The meeting is usually the third Tuesday of the month. Plant tours can take place around lunch or after work, depending on the plant’s schedule and traffic conditions. Communications with our members have been dramatically improved through email and the positive feedback is overwhelming.
