• At the top of your web browser select "View"; from the toolbar, then select "Source". You will see all of the source codes of that page. Hit the "Ctrl A" button on your keyboard (the text will highlight) and then hit the "Ctrl C" button.

• Your information has been saved to your clipboard. Open Microsoft Word, select a new sheet and click "Ctrl P".

• Make your changes to the page and then save the document on your local drive. (Note: This document must be saved as "TEXT ONLY" and given the extension ".htm". Also, the first page of your web site can be named "index.htm" or "homepage.htm")

• If you want to make additional changes repeat Step #2 as long as you have not closed the original source document. If your source document has been closed, then repeat instructions starting with Step #1.

• Open FTP (File Transfer Protocol) on your system or an MS-DOS Window.

  - Type "ftp chapters.sme.org"
  - Type in your username, i.e c005
  - Type in your password
  - You should be able to view a directory with your chapter Web site files
  - Open your local directory where your chapter files are stored
  - Copy the files from your local directory to the FTP directory
  - Open a new Internet window
  - Navigate to your chapter Web site to view your updated Web site
  
  

• Open your web browser and go to your chapter home page and press the "refresh" or "reload" button to view the new page.

• Check the links on each page to make sure your visitors will return to your chapter home page.
