SME offers a FREE server for chapter home pages.
This is your chance to join the world of Internet accessibility
and to tell net surfers about your SME chapter.
SME will reserve 100Mb of space on the server for your chapter Web site. Chapters can use MS Word, MS Frontpage or other Web site software programs to create their Web sites. Many chapters have utilized the expertise of students in their areas to assist in the creation of their home pages. This is an excellent resource, as students are on the leading edge of this technology. A discussion group is available for you to ask questions and view questions already posted while you create and maintain your home page.
For those chapters that have already created a home page, transfers can be made from the current server to
the SME server, as long as the general guidelines and agreement are followed.
Please remember, however, that chapter Web sites not updated regularly (over one year old) will be archived and deleted off the web server. Please contact us if this becomes an issue.
