LA Trade Tech SME Chapter S038 Website

This Society of Manufacturing Engineers student chapter is at the Los Angeles Trade Technical College and all the SME student members
are currently enrolled in the Machine Shop CNC program.

Our faculty advisor is Professor Peter Rauterkus, and he teaches the First and Second semester classes for CNC Machine Shop.

Another involved professor is SME member Steve Shibuya, who teaches the Third and Fourth semester classes.

ANNOUNCEMENTS

• Plant tour of Delta Hi-Tech is scheduled for Thursday, April 24th, at 10am.

• Plant tour of Protocast is CANCELED.
  Our chairwoman and a fearless SME member were thrown out when they tried to set up the tour.
• The chairwoman and SME member did get an excellent tour of a nearby tooling company Verdugo

• WESTEC is March 31st through April 3rd, 2008, at the Convention Center. This year the CNC Machine Shop has its own booth (#6110) in the Back-To-Basics section of the show.
