ODDS AND ENDS

This is a place for information that doesn't fit any where else. Who knows what you may find (If I get around to working on it!). For example the following graphics are computer generated (no real Lego Blocks were used to create them):

Lego Olympiad T-shirts will be on sale for $10 the day of the event. ______________________ Here are some hints: In the Open Division, it helps to build something unique and currently in popular culture (for example a singing SpongeBob Squarepants won last year - I doubt one would win again this year). ______________________________ For The Computer-Controlled Division be sure to build something that utilizes computer control (sounds obvious but we have seen entries that could have been done without the need for computer control)__________________________________________________ For the Theme Division - be sure you can work as a team - practice by having someone else pick a theme and seeing how well the team can improvise - The best entries are original (not like a kit Lego makes) and utilize all available resources (time, lego blocks, team member's skills, etc.) ________________________________________ In all divisions - the entries that move and "do something" do best. A ferris wheel will probably do better than a building with no moving parts._____________________________________ It is recommended that Technic parts, moving parts (hinges, gears, pneumatic components, etc.) be used when available and appropriate._____________________________________________________ For Open Division - try to pick a project that shows off your teams best skills and/or interests. __________________________ More Hints to come
